The Parks Swim Club is one of the youngest swim clubs in South Australia, receiving affiliation with Swim S.A. in 1992. It is also one of the smallest metropolitan clubs. Whilst young and small the club’s achievements are considerable. Parks swimmers have achieved success at all levels of competition right through to National level.
The prime objective of the club is “to improve the art and encourage the sport of swimming”. We hope to achieve this by providing adequate training, support and encouragement for all our swimmers, thereby enabling them to reach there swimming goals.
The Parks Swim Club offers the opportunity for swimmers of all ages to develop their swimming technique and fitness level, and depending on individual ability or interest, to progress from club swims to carnivals to scratch events and further on to State and National Championships.
We believe, through a regular training program, and by participating in competitions with other others of similar ability, swimmers at The Parks will develop self-discipline and the concept of self-improvement. The club gives members the opportunity to be a part of a team as well as to develop as individuals, and to mix socially as well as in competitive environments.
